What can I expect to do in this role?
You will:- undertake financial analysis, administration and reconciliation of a multi-million dollar branch budget
- conduct monthly analysis of expenditures, identify discrepancies and initiate appropriate actions to rectify discrepancies
- ensure financial compliance and administer the processing of invoices, journal entries and cost recovery processes
- support the development and preparation of budgets and the roll-up of branch forecasts
- provide financial advice and administrative support in procurement processes
- participate on financial and administrative process improvement working committees

How do I qualify?
Accounting and Financial Knowledge and Skills:
- you have demonstrated knowledge of financial and accounting principles and practices to prepare budgets, options and recommendations
- you can review and reconcile invoices and expenditure claims, process transactions and cost recoveries
- you have applied knowledge of financial control systems to monitor budget and expenditures, prepare forecasts, identify/explain variances, conduct financial analysis and to review and assist in the development of improvements to financial planning, management and reporting procedures and systems
Interpersonal, Research and Analytical Skills:
- you have proven research, analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills to prepare a variety of financial reports
- you have organizational and planning skills to prioritize your own workload and meet set deadlines
- you demonstrate interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to provide technical guidance and support to management and staff across the branch
Technical Skills:
- you have proficiency with computers and related financial systems, MS Office Suite software, and database operations to compile information and prepare reports
